The Tycab 2 x 4mm² H1Z2Z2-K Solar Cable is a high-quality twin-core photovoltaic cable designed for reliable DC connections in solar PV systems. Manufactured by Tycab New Zealand, this cable is suitable for solar panel installations and other photovoltaic applications where a durable, flexible and UV-resistant cable is required.
The cable features two 4mm² Class 5 tinned annealed copper conductors with flexible stranded construction. The conductors are individually insulated with XLPO and enclosed in a twin-format XLPO sheath. The cores are colour coded black and red, making polarity identification straightforward during installation.
1.5kV DC Solar Cable
The Tycab H1Z2Z2-K 2 x 4mm² cable is rated for 1.5kV DC and is designed to EN 50618 and IEC 62930 requirements for photovoltaic cables. It is suitable for solar PV installations where dependable electrical performance and resistance to outdoor environmental conditions are important.
The XLPO construction provides resistance to UV exposure and weathering, while the flexible Class 5 tinned copper conductors make the cable easier to route and terminate during solar installations. Tycab specifies a maximum DC conductor resistance of 5.09Ω/km at 20°C.
The cable is suitable for solar panel installations, photovoltaic systems and recreational vehicle applications. Tycab specifies the twin cable with nominal dimensions of approximately 5.5 × 11.4mm.
