Rust Stop Primer White Grey 400ml

Protect metal surfaces against corrosion with Würth Rust Stop Primer White Grey 400ml. This professional-quality epoxy primer is designed to provide both active corrosion protection and excellent adhesion, making it suitable for a wide range of metal preparation and repair applications.

The primer adheres well to aluminium, bare and galvanised sheet metal, steel, old paintwork and other suitable surfaces. It can also be used in applications involving PU and MS polymer sealing compounds, subject to compatibility testing.

One of its key advantages is its fast drying performance. Depending on the applied coating thickness, the surface can generally be painted over after approximately 10–15 minutes, while the stated drying time is approximately 25 minutes. It is compatible with commercially available 1-component, 2-component and water-based topcoat paint systems.

The white-grey finish provides a practical base for subsequent coating, while the primer can also be easily sanded when required. It offers temperature resistance up to 80°C, with short-term resistance up to 140°C.

For best results, the surface should be clean, dry and free from grease. Loose rust, paint and dirt should be removed using a wire brush, scraper or similar tool, and problematic surfaces should be lightly sanded before application. Shake the can thoroughly before use and apply the first coat thinly.
